Designed for maximum realism, our Hospital Room and Hospital Hallway standing sets are fully dressed and camera ready. Every detail has been carefully curated to recreate the look and feel of a functioning medical facility and includes two fully functional Hill-Rom hospital beds with adjustable height and articulation, operational EKG monitors including flat line option, rolling IV poles, authentic headwall units, privacy curtain and a comprehensive selection of medical equipment and props to support a wide range of healthcare scenes. The adjoining Hospital Hallway set is equipped with a functional Stryker gurney and wheelchair, providing additional realism and flexibility for patient transport and emergency sequences. With a complete inventory of medical furnishings, equipment, and set dressing already in place, everything you need is already built in, allowing your production to focus on storytelling instead of sourcing, transporting, and dressing expensive medical props.
Designed as a connected healthcare environment, the Hospital Room standing set flows directly into our Hospital Hallway, creating natural opportunities for patient transport scenes, medical staff interactions, and dramatic corridor sequences. The 28-foot hallway extends to a set of entry doors leading into our Waiting Room & Reception standing set, which can easily serve as a nurses' station, reception area, or patient waiting room.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are the hospital beds removable from the set?
The hospital beds can be easily moved around and reconfigured within the set, though unfortunately are not removable as they are real hospital beds and an extremely expensive prop with a high cost of repairs or replacement if damaged. If you are looking for a single-patient room, you can easily roll one bed to the opposite side of the set and get shots that look like it's a single-patient room without a problem!
2. Does the EKG monitor work?
Yes! The EKG monitor shows a video file that is played from a media player hidden behind the monitor. It can show either a normal EKG or can be set to flatline. Since the monitor has an HDMI input, it can also be connected to a laptop to stream any other video file needed.
3. What costumes are available to check out for the Hospital standing sets?
We offer stethoscopes at no cost and a wide variety of hospital related costumes such as nurses scrubs, doctor's lab coats, patient gowns and surgical scrubs for checkout. *Please note that there is a $5 cleaning fee per costume checked out and items must be checked out from your stage manger upon arrival in the morning.
4. Is fake blood allowed?
We do allow the use of both silicone blood mats as well as dried fake blood makeup on actors, bandages, clothing or linens as long as our fake blood use guidelines are followed! We are unfortunately not able to allow the use of any liquid, wet or moving blood at this time. *Please note that any scenes involving the use of fake blood MUST be approved at the time of booking!
5. Is fake vomit allowed?
Under most circumstances, we can allow for fake vomit to be used as long as crews ensure the set is protected from possible damage. *Please note that any scenes involving the use of fake vomit MUST be approved at the time of booking!
6. What are the set dec guidelines for the Hospital Room?
Crews CAN change out wall and tabletop decor, reconfigure furniture and props within the set itself and remove smaller furniture and props. Crews CANNOT remove hospital beds from Hospital Room Set (though they can be reconfigured within the space), remove or modify headboard behind beds or white board as they are fixed in the set.
